Nissim Amon was born in 1963 in Jerusalem.
He was ordained in Korea by Zen-Master Soeng-Sahn at the Hwa-Gey-Sa Monastery, with the designation of monk and Meditation Teacher. Later he traveled to Japan, and studied with G.W. Nishijima, a Soto Zen-Master, from which he received a Dharma Transmission and got his Zen-Master title. As a wandering monk he was also trained in the Forest Monasteries of Thailand and in Tibetan Monasteries in India and Nepal.
In Puna, India, he taught Zen Practices at the famous Osho Center. In Tel-Aviv he established ”The Faculty for High Consciousness” at the “Medi-Cin” College, and taught there for six years.
In 2001, together with Ran Dagan and Tsvi Ben Sa’adon, Nissim Amon established Tao’s Center, where he conducts his workshops for the last 10 years.
Nissim Amon currently resides in Israel.
