“Zen practice is not about clarifying concepts Or making new distinctions, But about throwing away one’s views, Along with the sacred texts and all the rest. Zen is about piercing through the layers That cover the spring of Self, Which is always present underneath.
Pierce one by one through the layers Go deeper and deeper, Into a place that cannot be described. It is then that thinking comes to an end, And making distinctions stops. Wrong views and ideas disappear by themselves, Without having to be driven out; Without any worry, True action and true function appear by themselves. It is then that one can know the true magic of the mind. ” Master Daikaku, Japan, 1250 AC
This piercing process of uncovering the true Self was created by The Buddha, that spoke in a more poetic way about six super-powers that mark the path towards complete freedom. The first and the most important among them is the ability to walk through walls.
Often, ideas that have been transplanted into our mind stand in front of us as high walls, thick as concrete barricades, solid as the dining table we eat on. Walking through Walls is about walking through these unseen Mind walls, walls that surround us and limit our original and boundless freedom. Not climbing, not fighting, not demolishing, only passing through them, for it is only in the Mind that they exist.
These walls are your Karma. Walk through. Be free.
