QI GONG (Chi-Kong) is a Chinese term applied to all forms of exercise which work with one’s Qi. According to oriental medicine, Qi in its wide sense is in everything from the air we breathe to the vital energy which animates our bodies. Gong means to work with or train. Qi is also in close relationship to the function of respiration and the ability of the mind to relax and focus. Having an abundance flow of Qi (life energy) provides resistance against disease, supplies the energy necessary for the continual regeneration taking place within our bodies and yields good health.
The 5 days workshop will focus on Rujing - The Secret to Qigong. The participants will learn how to regulate respiration and how to practice a combination of Qigong exercises for health enhancement and to facilitate adaptation to one’s environment. These will be taught not only directly, but also by Spiros special way of teaching, which will give the participants the actual experience of the secret of Qigong.
Spiros Peristeris has studied all three types of Qigong - Martial Arts, Health enhancement and Medical. He teaches Health enhancement Qigong and Tai-Chi since 1998 and works with medical Qigong for over a decade.
