All Chi Kung (Qi Gong) forms have a blend of three elements: concentration, breathing and whole body movement. No matter the function of any given exercise, effective outcomes depend on our ability to let go.
This is easier said than done, yet engaging very simple movements with mindfulness helps to integrate the body and the mind, and then habits and patterns that prevent relaxation become self-evident. When exercise is performed thoroughly and the body-mind is in a state of sustained relaxation, healing intelligence manifests and becomes accessible to the whole system, restoring our natural balance & health.
Suitable for all ages, backgrounds and most bodily conditions, the workshop will include the practice of Pole Standing, Marrow Cleansing, Primordial Chi kung and The Precious Set of Eight, all aimed at helping with the process of letting go towards deep Body-Mind relaxation and rejuvenation.
These practices and exercises will give the participants of the workshop tools and principles for an on-going daily practice on their own. The 5-day workshop schedule (Tuesday to Saturday) includes 2 workshop sessions, Tao’s morning activities & lunch and is as follows:
10:00-10:30 Zazen Meditation 10:30-11:30 Morning Qi Gong 11:45-12:30 Tao & Zen Ring 13:00-14:30 Workshop Noon session 14:30 Lunch 18:00-19:30 Workshop Afternoon session The workshop is given by Lynn Gordon that practices and teaches Chi Kung for more than 10 years:“Waking up, healing and the restoration of the Natural are the themes that have occupied my interest for more than 40 years.
