"Yoga is the Cessation of Mind." Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras
The Iyengar Yoga & Meditation retreat is an expedition to the secrets and the magic of awakening through the practice of Yoga and of meditation, guided by Anat Zahor.
The retreat will focus on experiencing and inquiring the inter-relations between body and mind, and on the way our insights influence our everyday experiences. This all will be supported by the surroundings of nature in the Greek Island of Paros, nurtured by the sea, the wind, the sun and the loving, peaceful space of Tao’s center.
The Yoga practice will be approached from the Iyengar tradition, and the participants will have the opportunity to experience not only the technical points of this method but also to explore the mind that inquires the method. The workshop is meant for both beginners and advanced yoga practitioners yet some background is needed - about six months of practice of any yoga tradition. The meditation sessions will include Zazen as well as guided sessions with basic instructions in Mindfulness meditation, focusing on bringing meditation into our daily life - our actions, our feelings and our thoughts.
The Iyengar Yoga & Meditation retreat will be held from the 15th to the 20th of May, with the following daily schedule:
07:30-09:30 Pranayama & Yoga practice 09:30-10:00 Guided mindfulness meditation with Anat 10:30 Breakfast 11:30-12:15 Tao & Zen Ring/Outdoors activity The second half of each day will include changing activities and practices, as Zazen meditation, yoga practice and Dharma talks with Anat Zahor. The workshop is offered in a special package of workshop & accommodation (6 nights) in Eleana hotel.
