Acupressure Yoga is a combined practice, using two of the oldest healing methods – Indian Yoga and Chinese Acupressure points & energy channels.
Pierra’s interpretation of Acupressure Yoga according to her vast experience with body work – as a yoga instructor, acupuncturist and massage therapist – created her own version for it: Yogacu (pronounced yog-ah-cu). In the Yogacu workshop with Pierra, Yin (passive) & Yang (active) yoga poses will be used and while in these poses, the participants will learn how to find and experience the acupressure points in order to de-stress common catch-all areas as neck, shoulders, low back, eyes and face. Using the immediate environment - wall, stairs, floor – as well as tennis balls or marble stones, together with the yoga practice and breathing techniques, creates a whole-body experience of revival and rejuvenation.
The Yogacu workshop will supply the participants with an everyday tool for energizing and releasing stress, turning this very stress into a best friend, a doc and an instructor leading back to freedom. The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of their background, be it the most flexible dancers or the stiffest of construction workers; start wherever you are!
The Acupressure Yoga workshop with Pierra is a 4-day program, and includes: - Daily morning & afternoon Yogacu practice in Tao’s Center beautiful practice spaces. Two of the workshop sessions will take place outside, in the beautiful and unique nature of Paros, as on top of a hill, in a monastery courtyard, surrounded with breath taking view, or in an intimate sandy beach, in front of the turquoise sea and the neighboring islands. - A special session focusing on Yogacu therapy. - Daily rich breakfast (except Sunday); early lunch dishes are available for the very hungry. - Mid-day hours for beach time, island touring and rest.
